Joe “Chaco” Ramirez was a hero. He spent more than 3 years as a prisoner in the Korean War and still chose to re-enlist.
I was proud to support naming a street in his honor in his home neighborhood of Magnolia Park. Thanks to Council Member Joaquin Martinez for leading and to Mayor John Whitmire for hosting us in your office!
It’s a banner day for Latino legacy in Houston!
