147th Attack Wing

Airmen of the 147th Attack Wing strengthened readiness and executed mission-focused training during this drill weekend at the 147th Attack Wing.

Force Support Airmen kept the force sustained and ready, Air Support Operations Squadron members worked on combatives proficiency and Civil Engineers maintained and packed expeditionary equipment to support future operations. Training, sustainment, and preparation remain central to mission success across the wing.

Each drill weekend reinforces the wing’s ability to respond, support, and execute when called. Texans serving Texans anytime, anywhere.

After a distinguished career of service, U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Brandt S. Spenrath, senior enlisted leader of the 147th Operations Group, is honored during his retirement ceremony at Joint Base Ellington Field on Feb. 7, 2026.

Throughout his career, Chief Spenrath serves as a mentor and leader to countless Airmen, leaving a lasting impact on the 147th Attack Wing and the Air National Guard. We thank him for his dedication and wish him the very best in his next chapter.

Firefighters from the 147th Attack Wing conducted live fire training at Deer Park Fire Department Training Facility on Saturday.

This hands-on collaboration strengthened our emergency response capabilities, enhanced readiness and ensured our airmen are ready for any challenge, anytime, anywhere!

The 147th Mission Support Group came together today for a one mile unit run that did more than measure distance. It strengthened camaraderie, boosted morale, and reminded us what it means to move forward as one team. Every Airman showed up with pride and pushed together from start to finish, demonstrating the spirit that keeps our group mission ready and always moving with purpose.

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriation is passed by Congress and passed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in non-work, non-pay status.

SMSgt David Adkins continues to impress at the 2025 Department of Defense Warrior Games, adding a Silver in Men’s Upright Road Race Open and Bronze in the Men’s Upright Time Trials Open, showcasing incredible strength, endurance, and determination!

SMSgt Adkins is one of more than 200 wounded, ill, or injured active duty and veteran military athletes competing across adaptive sports such as cycling, powerlifting, track, swimming, and archery.
