Judge Chris Morales Re-elect Judge Chris Morales — Fort Bend County Court at Law No. 1. Learn more at judgemorales.com. Pd. Pol.

Pd Pol Ad The Chris Morales Campaign; Janice Knight, Treasurer Chris Morales was elected as Judge of County Court at Law No. 1 in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. As Judge, he manages a multitude of cases that impacts the daily life of every citizen in Fort Bend County. Judge Morales oversees cases involving probate & guardianship, juvenile, civil litigation, condemnation, misdemeanor and civil mental health commitments. Most importantly, Judge Morales also oversees our County’s only Misdemeanor Mental Health Court, a program designed to reduce recidivism rates among criminal defendants with mental illness. Since taking office, Judge Morales has been instrumental in implementing new technologies in the courtroom that reduce taxpayer costs and ensure the courts evolve with changing needs. In fact, when the COVID-19 Pandemic closed the courts, Judge Morales’ previous planning and knowledge of virtual conferencing platforms allowed his Court to quickly adopt such technology to conduct remote hearings, reducing the impact on Court operations. Further, Judge Morales has worked hard to introduce multiple continuing education events for lawyers and has worked closely with the Juvenile Probation Department for the youth of our County. Judge Morales is a lifelong resident of Fort Bend County, graduating from B.F. Terry High School in Rosenberg and Texas A&M University in College Station. He is married to his high school sweetheart and fellow Texas A&M graduate, Vanessa Morales. Judge Morales and Vanessa have been members at River Pointe Church in Richmond for over 10 years, and have two children, Madelyn and William. "An efficient courtroom where justice is both swift and fair." Thank you, attorney Kerri Graham, for your endorsement. Efficiency is not abstract. It is people's time, money, and lives, and it is why I run one of the most efficient courts in Fort Bend County year after year. Early voting begins October 19. Who else in the legal community should we hear from?

Know Your County Government - County Court at Law

Every day, County Court at Law judges make decisions that protect families, hold people accountable, and uphold the rule of law in our community.

They handle the cases that touch real lives — criminal misdemeanors, juvenile matters, probate, guardianships, and mental health hearings. These are not distant federal issues. These are the courts that most directly affect our neighbors, our children, and the safety of our streets.

These local races matter. The people who serve on these benches make decisions that affect our neighbors every day. ⚖

I enjoyed attending the One Table Community Dinner hosted by the Central Fort Bend Chamber on Friday evening in the heart of downtown Richmond!

As Fort Bend County continues to grow and expand, it’s events like these that remind us of the small-town charm that makes our community so special. Bringing people together, building connections, and celebrating the spirit of our community is what it’s all about!
