Universal Beyond Bars UBB aims to help correctional facilities in promoting positive change in offender behavior, reintegrating them into society and reducing recidivism rates.

The Universal Beyond Bars Group (UBB) is one of the many outreach groups within The Universal Church (TUC)

It aims to help correctional facilities and their staff in promoting positive change in offender behavior, reintegrating offenders into society and reducing recidivism rates. Hardly a week goes by without a report or newspaper article on the causes and effects of crime. UBB’s mission is to address the underlying factors that lead people into crime in the first place. UBB consists of volunteers who support offenders, their families and correctional staff throughout the USA both physically and spiritually. We are firm believers in the power of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to completely transform and save lives. We are passionate about working with those who society usually despises. Prison/jail inmates are often seen as society’s failures; people who can be set aside and forgotten or who are feared, condemned and despised for the wrong that they did. The harder and more challenging the case, the greater our faith and determination to see a breakthrough. It’s a real pleasure when we see people turn their backs on a criminal lifestyle to build something positive for the future.

Lane Murray Unit is down with UBB and UBB is down with the Lane Murray Unit 😃 We may only spend a short amount of time inside, but we never know how long the words we share may stay with someone. That’s why we choose our words carefully, listen closely, and always leave room for hope.

Behind every number, every uniform, and every facility is a person. Our ministry exists to see beyond the circumstances and meet people with dignity, compassion, and the hope found in God’s Word.

Every time we enter a facility, we’re reminded that it isn’t always about having the perfect words. Sometimes it’s about showing up, listening without judgment, praying together, and letting someone know they matter.
