Meyerland Residents,

The Meyerland Community Improvement Association is holding elections for eligible 2025-2026 Board of Director seats. Elections will occur at the Annual Meeting, tentatively set for Monday, October 27, 2025 (more details to come!).

If you are interested in joining this dynamic group of dedicated community leaders, please submit your intent via the Meyerland website.

It is important to note that to have your declaration and biography included on the ballot, your submission must be received by 5:00 pm (Central time) on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Any declarations received after that date will be considered write-in candidates and will not be on the ballot.

Lovely day today in Section 10 for deed restrictions signing! If you own a lot in Section 10, please come to our session next Saturday at Herod Elementary from 10:00 am to Noon or come by the office to get the signature page signed and notarized. Let’s get Section 10 updated!

REMINDER: Monday, January 2 is a City holiday and your trash, recycling, yard waste or tree waste may be collected on a different day this week.

Did you hear? Meyerland will be celebrating National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, October 11!

The NNO organization normally schedules the event on the first Tuesday of October (October 4), but this year that is the start of Yom Kippur.

So, we moved the event back a week. Let’s get out and visit with our neighbors the evening of Tuesday, October 11!

Do have have trouble remembering if it is a recycling week? When is heavy trash pickup? Well, now there’s an app for that! Download the HTX Collects app (visit the link below) and you will always know the pick-up schedule!

SWMD - HTX COLLECTS Houston Solid Waste Management has launched HTX Collects, a mobile app that will allow residents to stay better connected with the City’s waste and recycling collection programs.

The City of Houston will receive over $30 million in long-term disaster recovery assistance to address the impacts of Winter Storm Uri and enhance the resilience of Houstonians in future disasters.

They want to hear from you:

- How did the freeze impact you and your family?

- What was your recovery process?

- What do you need to prepare for future disaster events?

- What are your priorities for disaster recovery programs?
