The Meyerland Community Improvement Association is gearing up for elections for the 2026–2027 Board of Directors.

We need YOUR VOICE!

Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting, tentatively set for
Tuesday, November 10, 2026 (more details on that soon!).

Important Update: To have your declaration and biography included on the official ballot, your submission must be received by 5:00 PM (Central time) on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Declarations received after this date will be treated as write-in candidacies and will not appear on the printed ballot — so don't wait! Step Up!

Every Council District gets $1,000,000 to spend on district investments, from street and sidewalk improvements, parks enhancements, resilience efforts, public safety investments, and more. Council Member Joe is excited to launch the first District C “Direct Your Dollars” survey so we can hear from residents directly on where you want your dollars spent!

This survey is an important tool we will use to understand what residents want to see in their neighborhoods. We’ll review the results along with feasibility, cost, urgency, and city department input to identify priorities that can be focused on with the available funding.

The survey closes Monday, September 7. We encourage everyone who lives, works, or spends time in District C to participate!

We’ll be sharing the results directly with you! Join us at our 100 Days Townhall on September 19 at 10AM where we’ll be sharing the results, along with some highlights from our first 100 days in office and answering any questions you have.

VOTE, Saturday, May 16th Houston City Council Runoff District C

Friends & Neighbors,

Just a quick reminder that the District C runoff election is this Saturday, May 16th.

Local elections matter — especially this one that directly impact our neighborhoods, public safety, infrastructure, parks, and quality of life here in Meyerland.

Turnout in runoff elections is typically very low, which means YOUR vote truly carries extra weight.

Please take a few minutes to make your voice heard and encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to do the same.

No matter who you support, YOUR participation matters.

The two candidates in the Houston City Council District C Runoff Election are:

• Joe Panzarella
• Nick Hellyar

District C covers a good portion of Meyerland (See map below). If you are registered in this area, you may vote in the Runoff.

YOU ARE PERMITTED TO VOTE IN THIS RUNOFF EVEN IF YOU DID NOT VOTE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION.

There are six (6) polling locations for this election. The most convenient for Meyerland residents is Bayland Park Community Center, Annex 6400 Bissonnet Street, Houston, TX 77074. Traditional voting locations (Kolter, Lovett, Herod, etc.) will NOT be used for this Special Election Runoff.

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The Meyerland Community Improvement Association is holding elections for eligible 2025-2026 Board of Director seats. Elections will occur at the Annual Meeting, tentatively set for Monday, October 27, 2025 (more details to come!).

If you are interested in joining this dynamic group of dedicated community leaders, please submit your intent via the Meyerland website.

It is important to note that to have your declaration and biography included on the ballot, your submission must be received by 5:00 pm (Central time) on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Any declarations received after that date will be considered write-in candidates and will not be on the ballot.
