When I arrived on duty this morning I was greeted with an awesome picture that someone was kind enough to part with and gift the department. I love things like this and it will be hanging it right outside of my office in the near future.

We would like to give a shout out to Saddle Creek Towing for helping get our guys and apparatus safely back to the station, after a minor mechanical problem.

We would like to give a huge thank you to J&J land services for stepping up and helping remove roughly 800 feet of silt fence from our property. Community partnerships like this make all the difference, and we are grateful for your hard work and support.

Good afternoon again,
I have received the signed order lifting the current burn ban for Liberty County.
With that information being shared, remember the following.
A person commits an offense if the person intentionally or knowingly burns household refuse outdoors on a lot that is:
(1) located in a neighborhood; or
(2) smaller than five acres.
(3) If you have trash pickup service available at your address, you can not burn either.
The offense is a Class C Misdemeanor with a fine up to $500.00 and mandatory community service up to 100 hours.
