On the campaign trail occasionally I'm asked, "what district/area does your court number cover?" My answer is always the same: "the entire county - every voter in Harris County will see this court on their ballot.

With the exception justice courts ("Justice of the Peace"), all judicial offices on the Harris County ballot are elected countywide. The contests are listed by category - statewide, intermediate appellate, and trial courts - with multiple seats up at each level. Your Justice of the Peace court is the only position based on a specific home address.

If you’re voting in the Harris County Democratic Party Primary Election, please consider casting a vote in every contest on the ballot (all contested and uncontested races). Early Voting is from February 17 to February 27, and Election Day is March 3.

First, it’s always nice to have as many votes as possible (😀). Second, it’s good practice for the general election later this year. Every single elective office is an important part of our government, and your votes are needed from the top of the ballot to the bottom.
