If you’re voting in the Harris County Democratic Party Primary Election, please consider casting a vote in every contest on the ballot (all contested and uncontested races). Early Voting is from February 17 to February 27, and Election Day is March 3.
First, it’s always nice to have as many votes as possible (😀). Second, it’s good practice for the general election later this year. Every single elective office is an important part of our government, and your votes are needed from the top of the ballot to the bottom.
You can get a sample ballot specific to your home area at https://www.harrisvotes.com/Voter/Whats-on-my-Ballot. You are allowed to use a printed sample ballot or other handwritten materials when you vote in person.

🚨 USPS POSTMARK RULES HAVE CHANGED! 🚨
The USPS has changed how postmarks work, and it could impact mail-in ballots.
❌ Old: mail that has been RECEIVED by the post office.
✅ New: mail that has been PROCESSED by the post office.
📬 Postmark ≠ day you mail it anymore! As of Dec. 24th, 2025, postmarks now reflect when mail is processed, not when it’s dropped off.
⚠️ Why this matters: If you drop your mail-in ballot in a mailbox on Election Day, it may receive a postmark after Election Day and could be rejected!
Best ways to protect your vote:
• Apply for your Vote by Mail ballot ASAP
• Mail your ballot 7-10 days early
• Take your ballot to the post office and request a manual postmark
• Use certified mail to track your ballot
• Or hand-deliver your ballot to your local elections office with ID on Election Day
🗓 Feb. 20th, 2026 is the last day for Vote by Mail applications to be received
🗳 Primary Election Day in Texas is March 3rd, 2026
Please share to help others avoid having their vote rejected. Democracy works best when everyone has the information they need to participate!
