Summertime heat and performance issues affect everyone! Safety margins are thin so remember to plan ahead! Nice and easy saves the day!
Really need a side gig flying cargo!
Doing my side gig makes me really appreciate my EMS job!
About to end another night hitch with very little flying. Mechanical issues caused us to be OOS several times this week.
So the drop dead date for the mandate passed without notice and still flying the friendly skies.

Landing on top of tall hospital in 20 kt gusting to 30 kts winds WILL check your pucker factor. The wind comes up the building then rolls over the top so depending on where you are you the wind can hit in the face or the back or any direction. But the departure is a hoot!
Dealing with the ‘Rona and decontamination of the helicopter. Fortunately the crews have cut the downtime to around 30 minutes. Venting the bird so it doesn’t smell like a hospital! Living the dream!

The Covid lockdowns have put a real bite in our emergency scene flights. Seems like less people out means less accidents which is good. We haven’t been diverted for overcrowding at any hospitals. Taking every precaution we can not to be a Covid spreader while still providing the best medical car we can. Strong!
