National Trench Safety Partners with MGF to Enhance Market Expansion in the United States

National Trench Safety (NTS) has announced an exclusive U.S. distribution partnership with MGF, a leading UK-based manufacturer of specialist shoring products.

Under the agreement, NTS will distribute MGF’s hydraulic bracing systems in the United States. The partnership launches in April 2025 and strengthens NTS’s ability to support complex, engineered trench safety work in the U.S. construction and civil engineering sectors.

By adding MGF’s hydraulic bracing systems, we now have a much better opportunity to be that complete equipment provider that our customers require, allowing us to serve more of the engineered work our customers are taking on and reinforcing why NTS is the most capable trench safety partner in the country.”

The 2022 Inaugural National Trench Safety / Cerda Industries Golf Tournament held on May 26th was a great success. With the generosity of Cerda Industries, National Trench Safety sponsored 108 golfers at the Stone Bridge Golf Course in Salt Lake City. “We intentionally limited the size of the event as it was our first-ever and we were going for quality over quantity,” Said Shane Henriod, the event’s primary organizer.

NTS hosted a continental breakfast, 18 holes with a shotgun start and lunch with many prizes to follow. Trophies for first, second and last place were awarded along with closest to the pin and long driver competition. Many members of the senior management team were also in attendance and enjoyed the opportunity to meet directly with customers.

The feedback was very good and we intend to make this an annual event!

On this Memorial Day weekend, NTS honors our United States Armed Forces and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the preservation of our freedom. We honor and remember them this weekend and always.

In recognition of safety week at Lane Construction, Pat Hewitt, Mid-Atlantic District Manager, organized a talk for employees discussing several upcoming collaborative projects in the area. Pat recruited John Anderson, National Account Manager, to help Lane employees better understand the mission of NTS and its commitment to the customer. The event received a great turnout and further instilled excitement surrounding the upcoming projects.

National Trench Safety is pleased to announce the appointment of Van A. Welch as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Welch brings over 40 years of experience in operations and finance and will be responsible for finance, accounting, mergers, acquisitions, and compliance.

A recent installation of a 85’L x 14’ W x 10’ H beam and plate system out of Castaic, CA. Thanks to the work of the Sylmar team, the customer was provided with a safe shoring solution that allowed them the proper clearance needed for a pipe instillation.

NTS is pleased to announce Pat Hewitt has accepted the role of District Manager for the newly created Mid-Atlantic District comprised of the following branches: Manassas, Raleigh, Burlington and Charlotte. Pat joined NTS in 2014 and possesses extensive trench sales and operational experience. With over 20 years of industry knowledge, he has played a key role in establishing Manassas as a flagship location. We are excited to see the growth Pat will bring to our North Carolina branches in his new role.
