The Fort Bend County Technical Rescue Team recently participated in a regional training designed to enhance coordination, sharpen specialized skills, and strengthen response capabilities for complex rescue incidents.
This highly trained team operates under the administrative oversight of the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office, supported through federal homeland security grant funding. These resources ensure our personnel are equipped, trained, and ready to respond to high-risk, technical rescue situations across our region.
From confined space and rope rescue to structural collapse scenarios, this training reinforces our commitment to protecting lives and supporting our partner agencies when it matters most.

The Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office is proud to support our partners at Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department as we rally around one of our own.
Lieutenant Ryan Berg, who has served both the Fort Bend County HazMat Response Team and PGVFD, has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Ryan has dedicated his time and service to protecting this community, and now it’s our turn to stand behind him and his family.
We encourage our community to come together and help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. Donations can be made through the link below.
Every contribution makes a difference.

One of your firefighters needs some help. Lt Ryan Berg has been diagnosed with cancer. Ryan splits his time working between Fort Bend County HazMat and PGVFD so there is no doubt that the cancer is directly related to his service to this county. We want to do everything we can to alleviate the financial burden that is falling on the shoulders of his family. Please help us help him by going to our website and making a donation. With our top tier donation we will reward you with one of our Easter Briskets prepared and cooked in conjunction with Bottomless Pit and HTX BBQ.
