Yesterday was the anniversary of the 1900 Galveston hurricane known as The Great Storm of the century. Eight thousand Galveston residents, 20% of the population at that time, gone. At sunrise I sounded the shofar over the Galveston monument statue in a minute of silence. Thinking about how truly blessed we are to have the technology to forward us of approaching storms but we also have the Holy spirit that functions like a weather rar in the same manner the Bible mentions of the things to come. In 1900 The United States Weather Bureau at the time knew that there was a storm in the Gulf, but refused to believe that it was even possible that it could cross all the way west to the Texas coast. A local weather named Isaac Cline, chief meteorologist at the Galveston Weather Bureau at the time, tried to warn the people of Galveston when he saw the seas rising, the slick oily swells coming in 12 hours before the storm was to hit. But it was too late. Much of the Islands restoration and rebuilding efforts were made by wealthy JEWISH businesmen who always used their influence, power and favor to get more banks, resources and finances in their community from other organizations, banks, and friends from the East Coast to rebuild GALVESTON Texas

In the 20's Valentino was a regular. In the 30's Houdini 's widow held séance's on the roof, in 1943 Frances Farmer was arrested. In in 1948, studio head D. W. Griffith had a stroke & died there. In the 50's Marilyn Monroe & Elvis were guests. In '1962 costume designer Irene, committed su***de. In the mid 70's, it became a senior citizens home for Jewish seniors. We sounded the shofar over the hotel and declared the lords restoration for his people! it was an awesome moment!

Shooting on Location "The Winds of Change" We discovered the first Jewish synagogue in Texas. This church back in the days was a "key hub" in housing, feeding, and sending out 10,000 Jewish families that came through the ports of Galveston in 1886 known as The Galveston movement! Galveston also has the oldest Jewish cemetery in Texas a few blocks down!
