The 2012 Thirdstone Texas Redfish Showdown is officially in the books. Team American Rodsmiths (Robert Scherer & Blane Friermood),with a two day total of 50.56lbs, came from behind to take home the $25,000.00 first place prize, along with two beautiful scuptured redfish. Rest of the top ten are as follows:

6) Ellis/Stack 42.57
7) Derrisaw/Turner 39.82
8) Drymala/Trimble 37.84

10) Weaver/Stevens 35.24

In all 133 fished were weighed with only 4 not making the trip back into the waters. Great job to all for keeping this fish healthy.

Only 3.3lbs seperate teams 3-15 and with a 3 fish per day limit anything can happen and probably will. With $25,000.00 on the line it will be interesting to see what goes down this afternoon as we sort it out. Weigh lines will open @ 3pm with the last boats due in @ 4:30. The public is invited to come out and enjoy the festivities, weigh in and awards ceromony. Hope to see you here..

4:15 boats 1-25 due in
4.30 boats 26-50 due in
4:45 boats 51-75 due in
5:00 boats 76-100 due in

Sunday July 29th 2012
Same as Saturday w/ the
exception, reverse the field.

For those of you that will need to fill your oxygen bottles, BAAD Marine Supply will be on hand all weekend to fill your bottles and fill any other needs you may have;baits,corks etc....Good luck and good fishing.
