In light of recent events regarding the impeachment of the student body president, we are officially announcing our candidacy for the role of "Joint-Interim Student Body Presidents" There is no greater calling than public service (attention wh***ng) and we will lead this great student body with pride, power and complete indifference. As student body presidents, we will encourage the Student senate to craft a series of bills further impeaching Reid Joseph for whatever the hell it is that he has done, while posting a series of poorly made signs featuring him dressed like Hi**er around campus with the Aggie green fund money. We appreciate your support, and expect that you will all make your voices heard in the impeachment trial. We don't know why he did it, but we can promise that we didn't have sexual relations with that woman, have our birth certificates and will not violate the Tenure of Office Act. Thank you.

Well folks. The polls have closed and the roll has been called for the winners. While Tex and Bubbles didn't make that list we would like to thank each and everyone of you for your support. I honestly didn't expect as many people to go along with this as we saw, but I think its a great thing. In a way it shows the true Spirit of Aggieland and the camaraderie of the Aggie family. When a couple of people decided they wanted to act out a bit and make a run for a horizon everyone knew they weren't gonna catch, the Aggie family still took time out of their busy schedules to have some fun and make them feel a bit more accepted in this uncertain world. I think that is the biggest positive of the concept of the Aggie. The fact that no matter how “off center” you are or where you came from you can find your place here. I was very surprised to see the multitude of posts, as well as our fellow Aggies, and even a few Blinn students, braving the cold to hold up our banner........made of PVC and a bedsheet. All of this really says something about the wonderful people we call friends. I would also like to take this time to personally thank Joseph Garan for his work behind the scenes as well as providing motivation to take “Tex and Bubbles” as far as we did. I hope everyone had as much fun with this as we did, or at the very least I hope it was a good show. With that, this is Tex and Bubbles signing off. Thanks and Gig 'em.

All of our awesome promises aside, this here is the real reason you should vote Tex and Bubbles.

It is misguided to believe that partying every night of the week for a nomination by a bunch of uniforms in any way qualifies one to say that they understand traditions better than any nonreg candidate and that they were selected as the best of the best and that you should vote them in en masse just for that reason.

Nonregs can demonstrate the Aggie Spirit every bit as well as their peers in the Corps. Tex and Bubbles are just two fine examples. They woke early every weekend just so they could shed their blood and sweat alongside hundreds of other loyal Aggies, both Nonreg and Corps, who helped to build the hell outta Bonfire. It is because they cared enough about the Spirit of Aggieland, and a uniform made no difference in that.

Tex and Bubbles will never say that Bonfire makes them better people than anyone else or that they understand the Spirit better than anyone else, but they can show that they cared about the Spirit and had the Burning Desire to serve the Aggies.

To all of our supporters: We Hart You!

Feel free to write us in for any other position, because "Tex and bubbles, why the f**k not?"

Tex and Bubbles may not have a couple grand to throw at a campaign, but Tex and Bubbles can drink any other Yell candidate under the table. If that's not Old Army then I don't know what is.

Ask not what Tex and Bubbles can do for you, ask what you can do for Tex and Bubbles! Are you a bad enough dude to hold our banner tomorrow? Let us know what times you're free!
