TODAY IS ELECTION DAY for the Primary Runoff Election.

You did not have to vote in the primary election earlier this year to cast a ballot today.

The future of Texas is on the ballot. I encourage every eligible voter to head to the polls and support strong conservative leadership.

Today we pause to remember and honor the American servicemembers who gave their lives protecting our nation and our freedoms. Their courage and sacrifice represent the very best of our country.

As we spend time with loved ones this Memorial Day, let us never forget those who are not here because they answered the call to serve. We are forever grateful.

It was an honor to lead the Texas Pledge and stand alongside so many elected officials from Galveston County and across Southeast Texas. The energy and enthusiasm from SD 11 constituents was incredible and a strong reminder that Texans are ready to continue fighting for conservative values and strong leadership.

Yesterday marked eight years since the tragic shooting at Santa Fe High School that forever changed this community and the lives of so many families.

It was an honor to join the Santa Fe 10 Memorial Foundation for the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Santa Fe Ten Memorial and Healing Park. This memorial will serve as a lasting tribute to the students and teachers we lost, while also creating a place for reflection, healing, and remembrance for generations to come.

The strength and resilience of the Santa Fe community over these past eight years has been extraordinary. While nothing can erase the pain of that day, this memorial ensures the lives and legacies of the Santa Fe 10 will never be forgotten.

Please continue to keep the victims’ families, survivors, first responders, and the entire Santa Fe community in your prayers.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers across House District 24 and throughout Texas.

The girls and I are especially grateful for Kim, who exemplifies the beauty of motherhood through her strength, patience, faith, sacrifice, and deep love for her family and community.

Today, I also honor my mother, one of the strongest women I know, who raised us with strong values and encouraged us to become the best versions of ourselves.
