🚨 Deer Park Utility Customers: Action Required🚨
Starting June 15, 2026, a new security update requires your card billing ZIP code to match your bank records exactly, or your payment will be declined. Outdated auto-pay info will cause failed payments, late fees, or service interruptions.
What to Do:
- Update Auto-Pay: Verify your saved card's billing ZIP, expiration date, and CVC.
- Use Bank ZIP: Ensure you use your card's actual billing ZIP code, not your utility service address.
(Note: ACH Bank Drafts and eChecks are not affected.)
Skip Card Hassles: Switch to ACH!
Avoid future card declines entirely by signing up for free ACH Bank Drafts.

⛈️ WEATHER UPDATE: An active storm pattern brings 6–8" of rain to the Houston region through next Wednesday (5/27).⚠️
Flash Floods: Intense rainfall rates of 2–4" per hour are possible.
Timing: Level 2/4 "Slight Risk" for Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Rivers: Steady rises as grounds saturate.
Stay weather-aware! 🛑🚗 Turn around, don't drown!
When it comes to Flood safety, “knowing the lingo” helps you to know what actions to take to protect life and property. Here is a quick, essential breakdown of National Weather Service (NWS) flood products so you know exactly how to react:
Flood Watch (Be Prepared): Conditions are favorable for life-threatening flooding in your area. This is the time to review your emergency plan, keep a close eye on the forecast, and prepare to move to higher ground if necessary.
Flood Advisory (Be Aware): Nuisance flooding is occurring or will start soon. Exercise caution as flooding may cause ponding of roadways, flooding of low water crossing, flooding of poor drainage areas, or streams and creeks rise over banks.
Flood Warning (Take Action): Flooding is imminent or is ongoing. If you are in a flood-prone area, move to higher ground immediately. Never drive around barriers or through flooded roads.
Flash Flood Warning (Take Action Immediately): A violent, life-threatening flash flood is imminent or occurring. This is a highly dangerous situation. Seek higher ground right now—do not wait.
The Golden Rule: A Watch means the ingredients for a flood are present, but a Warning means it is happening right now! For more information visit https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
