🚧 ROAD CLOSURE ALERT 🚧Please be advised of upcoming nightly TxDOT road closures starting next week!

📅 When: Tuesday, Oct. 20 through Friday, Oct. 23

⏰ Time: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Nightly)

📍 Where: Wharton Weems Underpass (Total closure for Westbound & Eastbound traffic under the bridge)

↪️ Detour: Traffic will need to turn right at the intersection and proceed to the adjacent U-turn at Fairmont Pkwy or Shoreacres Blvd.

🚓 Advanced warning signs are up, and officers will be on-site at the Wharton Weems Blvd intersection to direct traffic. Please plan ahead and drive safely!

The Little Cedar Bayou Nature Trail is officially fully open! ✂️🌿

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday afternoon for our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. With two new pedestrian bridges (60 ft. and 40 ft.) in place, the entire trail is open again, restoring full public access to those scenic views of the bayou and the bay. 🌉✨

A big thank-you to the La Porte Economic Development Corporation and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Local Parks program for helping make these improvements possible. Next up: rebuilding the observation deck coming later this year! 🔭

Come take a walk and enjoy the whole trail this weekend! 👟📸
