Skills must be shared, trust must be earned, and movements must be second nature. When conditions turn violent and visibility is gone, crews fall back on how they trained together. Strong teams train hard so every member knows their role, covers their brother or sister, and performs without hesitation. That’s how mistakes are minimized, confidence is built, and everyone goes home.

As the sun came up 24 years ago today 2,977 people went about their morning just like any other day. They had no idea that was the last day they would be mothers, fathers, cousins, grandparents, sons, daughters, workers, and many other roles to the those that they were entwined with. They sat in traffic, gossiped at the coffee pot, listened to the sports scores on the radio. Packed lunches and got kids ready for school.
May we never forget that for those people that was the last morning they would ever do those things that we each do on a daily basis.
We must never take for granted how special each and every day is and cherish time as nobody knows when each one will be our last.
Life is a precious gift and a day only 24hrs.

RCS recently wrapped up several railcar transfers following a track derailment, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity not only to work, but also to teach and build new partnerships in the industry along the way.
Did we make mistakes? Absolutely. Did we have every detail perfectly designed and tooled out? No. But we built our plan from the information we had and adapted on site. We initiated an EAP, established clear priorities for structure and safety, and stayed focused on ex*****on.
Thanks to some trusted partners, we turned “what if” scenarios into successful outcomes. As leaders, we know the importance of knowing your resources, seeking double confirmation, delegating information effectively, and keeping communication flowing in sequence so the team can thrive under pressure. Great work Team! Proud of your hard work!

Over the past 4 weeks, RCS Emergency Services had the privilege of training what will be over 125 dedicated professionals at TXIT in Galveston, Texas.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such engaged and motivated teams sharing knowledge, sharpening critical theory skills, and putting those concepts into action. Together, we explored and demonstrated stack operations, defensive strategies, and real-world scenarios designed to protect life, property, and the environment during catastrophic events involving Ethanol, denatured ethanol, LPG gases and fires, as well crude oil and naphtha.
To the TXIT team: your commitment to safety, readiness, and excellence is evident in every question, drill, and discussion. We stay inspired by your dedication and are proud to be part of your continuing growth.
From all of us at RCS Emergency Services -
thank you for the trust, the hospitality, and the shared mission to serve and protect.

This is a great read! Know the difference in your gases, the states they occupy space in, when they auto refrigerate and expand as well types of release they may have under these conditions.
Can You Auto-Refrigerate a Cylinder Gas? - The HazMat Guys Compressed gases cool when released due to expansion, while liquefied gases like propane experience greater cooling through auto-refrigeration, a process driven by the phase change from liquid to gas.
