The Curiosity Cruiser had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Texas Library Association convention this year here in Houston, Texas! Hosted at George R. Brown convention center, hundreds of academic and public librarians and teachers connected and engaged with Harris County Public Library and the Cruiser.

We had a blast talking to each and every one of you, as well as sharing what we do for our community with you all. We hope you've enjoyed meeting our amazing team members, including Northtale and Owlbotron. Where will the Cruiser go next?! Until then- stay curious!

March Madness shoots... and scores! We had a blast last week with our site visits, with March Madness theme programming 🏀 children at our sites made STEM catapults to launch "basketballs" (pom-poms) into hoops. We also had a wonderful time seeing our friend Clutch from the Houston Rockets! We love supporting our friends, perhaps we'll see Orbit next? ⛹️

Thank you Alief ISD CIA for having us attend your after school programming! We had a wonderful time handing out books and engaging in STEM programming featuring our awesome Sphero Bolts! Until next time 🤖 📚

It’s Spring Break for many of us! While the Cruiser is taking a short break from our regularly scheduled stops, we are still out and about bringing books and literacy-fun to schools and community centers. ✨

Last week, children experimented with Elephant Toothpaste and enjoyed a few great stories along the way! We will be back to our regular schedule on March 16. Until then, have a wonderful, and safe Spring Break! ☀️ 🌱

Black History Month is here and the Curiosity Cruiser has some insightful reads for all ages! This year also marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month which started in 1925 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson who planned the inaugural week-long observance of Black history now turned into a commemoration and celebrated each year.
