How fast is the TOS-1?
The TOS-1 is not a vehicle but a multiple rocket launcher system mounted on a chassis. Specifically, it is mounted on the chassis of a T-72 tank. The TOS-1 is not designed for high-speed mobility like a traditional combat vehicle. Instead, its primary function is to deliver powerful thermobaric rockets to a target area.
The TOS-1 is capable of moving at speeds similar to the T-72 tank, which has a maximum road speed of around 37 miles per hour (60 kilometers per hour). However, its main focus is on delivering its payload accurately rather than speed. Once it reaches its firing position, the TOS-1 can rapidly deploy and engage targets with its rockets.
