Everyone from law enforcement to the widow Marcus left behind contends that Marcus Merritt personally elected to take his own life. And yet he left no su***de note - something his own mother says, at the very least, he would have done, "said goodbye". What's even more weird and mysterious is that no autopsy or proper investigation into the death or the circumstances surrounding his death was ever conducted, leaving only the words and formal letters to Marcus' Mother, Royce, from officialdom with the Saint Landry's Parish Law Enforcement (State of Louisiana) Community that Marcus did indeed take his own life...

Merritt, Sr. up to and including an exhumation and autopsy of his body, a full accounting of his personal effects - seized by law enforcement, on the day Marcus died, and never returned to his family - toxicology and other investigatory efforts to prove, incontestably, whether or not Marcus Merritt, Sr. took his own life OR was met with foul play...
