Hello everyone,

I wanted to express some important thoughts. I've taken the time to put together these words to convey my feelings carefully. Over the past few years, I have dedicated myself wholeheartedly to ensuring every individual's health, welfare, and safety in Kemah.

This journey has been filled with challenges, and I have immense respect for the sacrifices made by you and the other members of our department. It has meant missing out on special occasions, spending less time with family, and always being available and ready to face criticism for perceived missteps.

While I understand that my efforts may have only sometimes been fully recognized, I want to assure you that I have never wavered in my commitment to this department. Whether in good times or bad, I have always strived to lead our department with sincerity and commendable efforts. As you reflect on our time together, I hope you will acknowledge the dedication I have shown to this department. I have made significant personal sacrifices out of love for this agency, this department, and each of you.

My goal has always been to be a genuine, fair, and admirable leader. With that said, I am resigning from my position as your chief of police. You will find the details of my resignation in your city emails. My connection with each of you has been built on genuine affection and mutual respect, not based on our titles, positions, or ranks. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support, dedication, and hard work.

You have all played a significant role in the transformation of our police department into a leading law enforcement agency, and for that, I am truly grateful.

Thank you.

You know sometimes I forget that some people do recognize good leadership. Well at least a 500,000 people do! -

In preparation for the 4th of July festivities, the Kemah Police Department received a generous donation from our Walmart Kemah partners. Some of the items donated were water, Gatorade, and various snacks. The Kemah Police Department is very appreciative of the support we receive from our local Kemah Walmart and we thank you!
