Hey churches, gather your youth and bring them out this Saturday for our “Receive. Write. Speak.” Free Verse Poetry Workshop! Youth ages 8–18 will receive instruction and inspiration from the Word of God, write scripture-based poetry, and develop confidence in creatively expressing their faith through spoken word and free verse. Come ready to discover, engage, and live the Word in a powerful and meaningful way!

Gathering up them kiddies and let us write beautiful poetry together. After they write their free style musings they will perform them as the Spoken Word; and we will record them for a video compilation to be shown at the Sunday School Convention!

This photograph embodies our church today--gathering In-Person and on Zoom, inviting Zoomers into the room to participate; as the divine vision unfolds before us; and as we stay attuned to God's guidance. Miraculously, we've overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles that once threatened our sustainability when I first received this sacred assignment. Naysayers predicted our demise, citing our landlocked location as an insurmountable hurdle that early on, would inevitably lead to the sale of this property.

But God's wisdom has prevailed, proving them wrong. By His divine grace, I've had the privilege of serving here for 15 remarkable years, sustaining our ministry without a salary and with minimal support from my faith community. We've thrived in this 92-year-old wood frame building, diligently maintaining its upkeep, applying fresh coats of paint, and installing new siding whenever necessary. Our fortitude has ensured the removal of hazardous trees that once dotted the landscape, and grinding stumps to create a safer environment in this Acres Home Community. We've successfully replaced the roofing on both buildings and implemented essential upgrades, including electrical work. Our vision is clear and purposeful, beautifully illustrated by professional renderings that bring our future plans to life.

Notice the rendering capturing my vehicle parked outside – a testament to the space of a leaders strong commitment. Our connectivity extends beyond our walls, thanks to our pastor's participation in a prestigious development co-hort, a requirement for securing grants and funding opportunities. Her tireless efforts, accompanied by dedicated Trustees and volunteer Engineers serving as pro bono consultants, led to our selection among 13 other Houston congregations. We've received restricted grant funds and a development certificate, opening doors to the development community and its resources. We've also acquired contiguous property, maintaining all required insurances and safety standards for public facilities in Texas. Consistently meeting our obligations as a church, we've achieved all this without resorting to fundraising programs, instead relying on the love and support defined in 1st Corinthians 13 and 2nd Corinthians 9.

Though the journey has been arduous, our response is unwavering: giving God glory. My commitment remains unshakeable – to serve Him until my last breath. With faith, I know He's always been with me, as the fourth man in the fire, strengthening me to persevere until the assignment is complete.

We're now lifting prayers for 1,000 lovers of God to sow a $20 seed into this ministry, promising boundless blessings.
