A month and one day after Berrie passed, my girl Cookie went to go see her.

My heart is broken, at this point what seems to be beyond repair. How much more grief can my heart take?

I got Cookie when I moved into my first place by myself in 2020. She screamed at Arlie nonstop. She nuzzled into me when I sang—one of her favorite things to do while cuddling. ALWAYS my bathroom partner 🥴 My girl was about 10 years old—I thought I had much more time with her.

I didn’t think my heart could shatter further—but alas, it did.

As if life weren’t cruel enough, our childhood doggo Austin went to go meet his cousins this weekend over the rainbow bridge. My heart dearly weeps for my baby sister, as this was her first fur baby.
