Did you know June 1 - July 4 is National Fireworks Safety Month?
Fireworks are meant to light up the sky — not cause injuries. 🎆
This National Fireworks Safety Month, celebrate responsibly:
✔ Keep a safe distance
✔ Never relight duds
✔ Keep water nearby
✔ Leave dangerous fireworks to the professionals
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in 2024 alone, an estimated 14,700 people were injured by fireworks in the U.S., with burns to the hands, fingers, and face among the most common injuries.
Have fun. Stay safe. Enjoy the show!

REMINDER! If you’re looking for lunch plans today, come out to support Inv. Sosa. We’ll be serving BBQ sandwiches with chips and a drink TODAY from 10:30a - 1:00p, or until sold out.
Hope to see you there!
Please join us on Friday, May 29, 2026 (tomorrow), at the “MAC SOSA BBQ, RAFFLE, & SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER” at the Gus George Academy.
Mac is a 37-year law enforcement veteran, a US Marine, and currently an Investigative Instructor at the Gus George Academy. He was recently diagnosed with cancer, and we are raising funds to offset some of the out-of-pocket expenses that are incurred during his cancer journey.
We will be serving BBQ (pork or beef sausage) sandwiches, chips, and a drink for $10 between the hours of 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, or until sold out.
Please see flyer for more information and activities.
