Township government is the grassroots level of government because of its close connection to the residents it serves.

The township is led by the Township Trustee, who works alongside the three member Township Advisory Board that provides oversight and guidance on township matters.

Some of the primary responsibilities of the Township Trustee include:

• Township Assistance
• Fire Protection Services
• W**d Control
• Care and Maintenance of Abandoned Cemeteries
• Public Township Parks Maintenance

The Republican caucus to fill the Huntington City Council's Second District seat was held at the Huntington County History and Education Center. Two candidates, Caleb Wilson and DeWayne Goings, spoke at the caucus about their experience and vision for serving on the city council. DeWayne was elected to complete Paul Pike's term. Pictured with DeWayne, from left to right, are Huntington County Republican Party Secretary Patty Tipmongkol, Chair Marla Foster, Vice Chair Charlie Chapman, and Treasurer Carrie Miller.

Come for the GOP 2nd Saturday Breakfast and plan to stay and help with the effort to get our Republican Candidates elected!

Volunteer to walk door-to-door with the IN GOP TUSK FORCE after Saturday's breakfast. You will be walking with an official Tusk Force member and help distribute the Republican information packet to voters.

Group will be gathering in the museum parking lot at 9:30 am.

Volunteer as much time as you can to SUPPORT OUR REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES AND GET PEOPLE INFORMED & ENERGIZED TO VOTE!
