Kratom policy conversations are happening across the country. As states continue to examine its impacts, it is important that the discussion is grounded in facts, public awareness, and informed decision-making.
I have worked to raise awareness about kratom and the concerns being raised by families, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement. Public awareness and consumer education matter.

I have been saddened by the negativity that often surrounds political campaigns. Too much of our time and energy is spent attacking one another, assuming the worst about people, or focusing on our differences.
I believe there is a better way.
There is so much good around us if we choose to look for it. We are blessed to live in an incredible community filled with hardworking people, caring neighbors, strong families, and countless acts of kindness that often go unnoticed. We live in a beautiful state that offers opportunity, freedom, and a quality of life that many only dream about.
That does not mean we ignore challenges or disagreements. It means we approach them with respect, gratitude, and a desire to move forward together.
Today, I hope we all take a moment to focus on the good, count our blessings, and remember just how fortunate we are to call Idaho home.

Kratom is not harmless, and too many families in Idaho have learned that the hard way.
Over the past year, I have worked to raise awareness about what kratom is, how highly concentrated and adulterated products are being sold, and the very real dangers tied to mitragynine toxicity. I have met with law enforcement, addiction recovery specialists, medical professionals, and families who have lost loved ones.
This article is worth reading as Idaho continues this important conversation about public safety, addiction, consumer awareness, and protecting our communities from products many people wrongly believe are “natural” and safe.
Kratom may be ‘natural’ but that doesn’t make it safe. Wake up Idaho | Opinion
These products can be addictive, causing people to consume more and more of the product to get the same effect. | Opinion

If you have one of my yard signs in your yard, I would appreciate it if you could hold onto it until the general election in November. You can display it again at that time, or if you prefer, I can stop by to pick it up. Thank you!
