OIU agents recently worked a violent crime reduction detail with theFranklin County Sheriff's Office to address high crime areas during the OSU vs. Illinois football game. Additionally, OIU conducted enforcement at Columbus liquor permit premises.

Agents made eight felony arrests and seized seven fi****ms illegally possessed by the offenders.

Among those arrested was an armed offender who had felony warrants for Aggravated Murder, Murder x2, Discharging Weapon On/Near Prohibited Premises, and Aggravated Burglary, who was also in possession of illegal drugs. Deputies transported the fugitive to the Franklin County Jail on the warrants and will be charged with additional felony offenses.

OIU is proud to work alongside our law enforcement partners to keep our communities safe.

Congratulations to Lt. Michael Loiseau on his election to the National Liquor Law Enforcement Association Executive Board as Sergeant-at-Arms.
