Today was our first shower day! We had thunderstorms in the morning and was able to get more organized in the down time. By 11, the rain had stopped. I took off looking to see if any of our friends were out and about. Aaron and Tim were the only ones out and were bummed they couldn’t make the walk up to us.
On my way back to the church, the Lord spoke to me and said, fill up the trailer and go! When I returned to the church (at 12pm, when we were to pack up and go home) I said, “Let’s fill the tank and go to them!” Without hesitation, the volunteers jumped up and loaded everything up and hooked the trailer up to my truck and off we went.
We drove 2 short miles (would’ve been a 4 mile walk, round trip for them) down the road to where Aaron and Tim were, we set the trailer up right in front of them. We were able to bless 2 of our friends today with showers, clean underwear, socks, tshirt, & pants.
They didn’t want photographed, but their faces when they came out of that shower stall was what we were praying for!
