💙 Reaching for Independence and Self-Sufficiency Through Employment (RISE)

At Horizon House, neighbors seeking support with vocational goals can enroll in RISE (Reaching for Independence and Self-Sufficiency through Employment).
This program provides job readiness training, access to an internet-connected computer lab, and vocational case management to support education and employment goals. 🌱

🌱 Mighty men, mulch, and breakfast! 💙

We’re incredibly thankful to David J. Carr and the Mighty Men Breakfast Program team for rolling up their sleeves and serving at Horizon House during their annual service project.

Volunteers pulled weeds, laid mulch, and helped bring new life to our grounds, continuing a tradition of support that has made an impact for years.

Horizon House begins each engagement journey with Guest Service Associates (GSAs) who help open the door to deeper support beyond basic services.

Essential services like laundry help neighbors maintain dignity while meeting immediate needs, creating a foundation to work toward long-term goals and stability. 🌱

Housing First 💙

Horizon House supports neighbors experiencing homelessness through integrated, comprehensive services designed to help individuals secure and maintain housing.

By prioritizing access to permanent housing without preconditions or barriers to entry, this approach supports long-term stability and helps reduce the risk of returning to homelessness.
