Beginning July 1, 2026, a new Indiana state law (SB 78) will require all K-12 schools to implement a โbell-to-bellโ restriction on personal wireless devices during the school day.
This means cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, headphones, and other personal smart devices must be powered off and inaccessible throughout the school day.
We understand this change may be frustrating for some students and families. While Perry Township Schools is required to follow Indiana state law, we are currently working with teachers to identify other resources that comply with the law to meet student needs that personal devices may have supported in the past.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

Earlier this year, preschoolers in Ms. Hauberโs class created drawings inspired by the book โColor Monsters.โ Those drawings were then sent over to the Rosa Parks Elementary Student Council, who turned them into real stuffed animals through a sewing project. ๐งต๐
This week, the Rosa Parks Elementary Student Council took a trip to the preschool to surprise the students with the finished creations!
Such a sweet project that let students be creative, work together, and do something really meaningful for the preschoolers.
