June is Pride Month! 🌈 At Brooke's Place, we believe no young person should grieve alone, regardless of who they are or who they love. When young people can be their authentic selves while processing the death of a loved one, hope is possible.

A heartfelt thank you to Northwest Bank for assembling nearly 250 grief care kits for local funeral homes and hospices! πŸ’œ

These kits support families with children who have experienced the death of a loved one. We are so grateful for partners who invest their time in our community.

This Memorial Day, we hold space for people living with grief after the death of a military loved one. πŸ’œ Did you know coins left on military headstones each carry a unique meaning of respect and remembrance? It's a quiet way of saying: they are not forgotten.

Childhood bereavement care is a critical, often overlooked part of healthcare. Carol Braden and Celestia Mai of Erin's House for Grieving Children brought that conversation to the Indiana Network of Healthcare Social Workers Conference, presenting on the importance of childhood bereavement care. Their work with the Indiana Grief Education Task Force is helping close that gap. πŸ’œ
