HAPPY DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN! It was so great to see so many of our former students from Small Miracles who stopped by our house last night for Trick or Treating! We miss the kids and their families so much.

So when you are planning next year's Halloween travels, we hope to see lots of you. Our address is 7801 Alexander Street (out in Acton it is a two story yellow house at the corner of Alexander and Mundell that will be 100 years old next year.) We always have a big pot of chili and another of "cheesy potato soup" for people to enjoy and hot chocolate to drink. And, most importantly, we give away FULL SIZED CANDY BARS. And, of course, there is the much anticipated silly string fight at the end of the evening.

So until next year, have a great time heading into the holiday season!

One of our former students (whose mother also came to Small Miracles) took the classroom tables our dad built for us when we opened 42 years ago to her classroom where she now teaches. This makes my heart so happy!

As school starts again, we are thinking of all of our former kids and wishing them a great year in all the new places where they are settling in. We would love to hear from you and see some pictures of the kids. We are still trying to get used to retirement (and find someplace to put everything we brought home from Small Miracles), but we miss the kids and the families and our teachers.

As an update on our staff....
Charlotte took a position at the Wanamaker Early Learning Center, Taralee is at KidCity in Beech Grove and Awbrey is teaching at the Eli Lily child care center downtown (Wing Walkers)

Small Miracles page will remain available through the end of 2022 and we would love to hear from our kids and to see any pictures you might want to share. When we have tax statements ready for 2022, we will post a notice.

Tonight, we put the last load from Small Miracles, our day care center of 42 years, in our truck, turned the building keys over to the land lord and drove away from our labor of love. And yes, we were both crying. There is no way to say thank you for all the support and encouragement we got from our family and friends and to the children and families who came through our doors (more than 1000 kids) and trusted and believed in us. It has been a magical ride. Thanks to everyone who gave us the chance to live our dream.

All of our equipment, supplies and furniture have been claimed. Thank you to everyone for their interest. It was great to see everything go to people and children who will continue to make use of what Small Miracles has to offer. We hope you enjoy!
