Happy Pride Month, Indy. 🌈

We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, welcomed, and at home in our community.

Pride is a time to celebrate joy, honor the people who have made progress possible, and recommit to building a more equitable Indianapolis for all.

This month and every month, we’re proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ neighbors, partners, staff, and community members as we work toward a city where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable home. 💙

CHIP recently hosted a successful Handbook of Help Drive-Thru Pickup Day at Moorhead Community Resource Center, bringing together community partners to help distribute one of our most widely used resource tools across Indianapolis.

In just a few hours, 7,650 Handbooks of Help were distributed! 😮‍💨

Some fast facts:

💙Orders were led by health and hospital providers, followed by homeless service providers

💙 The top populations served by participating partners were families with minor children, followed by single individuals

We are deeply grateful to Moorhead Community Resource Center for helping make this event possible. Their partnership and hospitality created a smooth, welcoming pickup experience and helped connect thousands of Handbooks to the partners and neighbors who rely on them.

Thank you to every organization that participated and continues to help put critical resource information directly into the hands of our community!!

Thank you to CHIP Indianapolis for braving the weather last Friday and distributing over 6,000 of your newly produced Handbooks of Help to community partners across the Indianapolis area. Your commitment to connecting individuals and families with vital resources does not go unnoticed.

We are excited to welcome Sarah Akinterinwa, our Social Media & Community Engagement Intern, and Jennifer Feutz, our Provider Technical Assistance Specialist, to the CHIP team!
Each brings a deep care for their community, reflected in their past experiences with incredible local organizations and their work supporting community initiatives.We are grateful for their passion, creativity, and heart each brings to this work, and we are excited to learn and grow alongside them! For April, we’re honoring Sam Clark (4 years), Kelly Comer-Patterson (1 year), and Emily Krauser (1 year) for their anniversaries at CHIP! Each of them brings something truly special to our work…from strengthening our systems and supporting partners, to building meaningful relationships and driving our mission forward every day. Because of their dedication, collaboration, and heart for our neighbors, CHIP’s impact continues to grow. 💙 Thank you, Sam, Kelly, and Emily, for all you do to help bring Indy home!
