Meet Monick Davis - One of our newest Board Members
Monick is the inaugural Dean of Nursing and Associate Professor at Ivy Tech, Hamilton County Campus. Nursing education has always been her passion, but gerontology nursing specifically warms her heart.
She has been in geriatric nursing for the majority of her nursing career, in the post-acute/long-term care space. She started in nursing as a CNA after high school until she joined the military. After being discharged from the military, she went on to achieve her LPN from Ivy Tech-Fort Wayne and worked as a staff nurse for a few years. She returned to nursing school and became an RN, which led to obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, then on to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing-Nursing Education. The culmination of her nursing education came when she earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) concentration in Organization Leadership.
Monick's career path allows her the opportunity to understand and lead our workforce through those same steps. She will be an asset to our board.
Welcome to the Board, Monick!
