Caring for others can affect you, too.

People working closely with survivors can experience vicarious trauma, or the emotional impact of hearing about or witnessing trauma repeatedly.

Take a look at the signs and find ways to cope with these feelings. Caring for others is so important, and so is supporting mental health in advocacy spaces!!

Mariann Bernlohr stepped into her role as DVPN Interim Executive Director with purpose and a plan. Due to her incredible leadership in an uncertain time, we came away feeling stronger than ever as an organization.
