Well, the weather doesn't feel like cooperating, so we're opening our warming shelter tonight for men and couples!

There are solutions to homelessness that advocates have been talking about for awhile.

The documentary “Beyond the Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness” explores some of those solutions.

There will be a screening of the film and a discussion during a community meeting in West Indianapolis this month.

If you are interested in going, it will be from 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at West Morris Free Methodist Church, 2302 W. Morris St.

Free Wood!
We are clearing the downed trees at West Park and piling up a great pile of firewood logs and large branches (or wood to chip/mulch). Please come help yourself to any/all of it from the piles near Tremont & Wilkins Streets! Spread the word and come stock up for winter.

Come by West Morris Church, door 13 for showers, laundry, clothing, a meal, and a break from the heat!
On Monday, July 14, a Gleaners representative will be at the WNDC to help neighbors connect to resources and complete on site applications for SNAP, Medicaid and TANF.

The Westside New Day Center is going to be open this Saturday, June 7, from 10 to 2! And rumor has it there will be lasagna for lunch! See you there.
