I really enjoyed coming back to Zion Hope Baptist Church to attend the annual “Women of Virtue - She Is” annual event. I was also thankful to Pastor McGee and his team for welcoming and allowing us to provide information to all that attended this great event about the services our office provides.

Lawrence Township Trustee Steve Talley is excited to announce the partnership between State Senator La Keisha Jackson, who is the Executive Director of Pathway Resource Center, Inc. and The Office of Lawrence Township Trustee to provide Lawrence Township residents free rides from their home to:
Sharing Place Food Pantry 6501 Sunnyside Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236 and the Community Cupboard of Lawrence at 7101 Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis, IN 46226
Both Senator Jackson and I recognize that many of our residents are unable to access nutritious food because of not being able to access the limited public transportation system in Lawrence Township.

It is always amazing to be at the Indianapolis Public Library Fall Festival, presented by the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation alongside the J Steve and Donna D Talley Fund. Congratulations to all of the talented students who win the “Slammin’ Rhymes Challenge XIX.”
It was also very inspirational to hear from the “The Three Doctors” who were the speakers. They made promises while they were young men that they would all become doctors to give back. Nearly 40 years later, they’ve achieved their dreams, and it was a great lesson for all the kids in the room about what you can accomplish when you work hard.

We were really honored to welcome Billie Breaux, a former employee, back to our office to wish her well in her upcoming move to Detroit and to also wish her a Happy Birthday yesterday!
Billie has dedicated her entire life to public service so it was very special to see the community come out and thank her for all that she has done. Billie, we hope you all have an excellent move and thank you for all you’ve done for Lawrence Township!

It is always a joy to be at the (BRAG - Binford Redevelopment and Growth, Inc) Annual cleanup for Skiles Test Nature Park! As usual, I was happy to help manage the parking lot for the day! The highlight of the morning was running into my old friend Larry Riggle, the founder of BRAG. It was great to see Larry and the many volunteers who worked all morning to keep our area clean!
