Today elected officials from all over the state had the opportunity to participate in the Municipal Assn of SC Advanced Municipal Elected Official Institute.

This includes a visit to the South Carolina State House where we toured both the House and Senate chambers and heard from Senate Sergeant at Arms Charles “Chuck” Williams Jr.

Just as valuable was the opportunity to network with municipal leaders from across South Carolina, exchange ideas, and learn more about advocacy and the relationship between state and local government.

Lots of photos!

Recognizing a Good Neighbor ❤️

Great to see Wade de Loach being recognized by the Jeffcoat Firm today, with Braulis Pimentel from WACH FOX there to capture the moment.

Congratulations, Wade and everyone at Irmo Outreach and thank you to Michelle Carpenter who helped shine a light on a good neighbor doing good things!

Preserving Harbison’s History

We enjoyed spending the morning at Midlands Technical College’s Harbison History Workshop, where community members, educators, students, and local leaders came together to share stories and help preserve Harbison’s history.

MTC is developing a new educational history sign for the Harbison Campus, and it was great to see the community have a voice in telling the story of Harbison’s education, resilience, and growth for future generations.

Up early this morning with Dr. Vanessa Dunn Guyton to help spread the word about Hush No More’s 8th Annual Walk, Roll & Run Against Domestic Violence! 💜

Join us Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM–12 PM at Moore Park in Irmo as we stand with survivors, raise awareness, and remind our community that everyone has a right to tell their story.

Great way to start the morning at ABC Columbia! Hope to see everyone at Moore Park on Saturday. 💜

Congratulations to Sheriff Leon Lott on this well-deserved recognition, and a special thank you to the Mota Crosslinking Business Academy for the important work you’re doing throughout the Midlands.

Celebrating and supporting Latino and Hispanic entrepreneurs, business owners, and community leaders strengthens our entire region. 👏
