Simple moments like this are what make our community so special. 💙

In the middle of a busy day filled with college assignments and responsibilities, one of our KOD students noticed a fellow student struggling with math. Without hesitation, he paused what he was doing to lend a helping hand.

This is what building a healthy community looks like: seeing one another, showing up for one another, and choosing to put others above ourselves.

A little peek into our soccer season! ⚽️💙

We couldn’t have made this season possible without our Presenting Sponsors, 925 Partners Insurance Agency and Auto-Owners Insurance!

Thank you for believing in our mission and investing in our young athletes. Your support allows us to continue creating opportunities for our youth to grow, build confidence, develop their skills, and experience the power of teamwork through soccer. We’re so grateful to have you as part of our team!

Did you know KOD helps provide 600 nutritious meals every day through our ministry partners around the world? 🌍❤️

One of these feeding programs is located in one of the most underserved areas of Nairobi, Kenya. By providing meals to students, we’re helping fill more than empty stomachs, we’re giving children the strength and opportunity to stay in school, pursue their education, and build a brighter future. There is so much life and joy to be found when we step outside our campus and into the neighborhoods. Whether we are distributing groceries to hundreds of families at an apartment complex, sharing games and laughter at a block party, or enjoying a live musical performance together at a Super Saturday, our strategic events are all about presence. We go where our families are because there is power in community.

English is more than a language, it’s a bridge to opportunity. 🌎📚

For refugee and immigrant children, learning English is about so much more than understanding a classroom lesson. It’s about finding their voice, building confidence, making friends, and discovering a sense of belonging in their new community.

At KOD, our ESOL classes go beyond vocabulary and grammar. We’re creating a safe and encouraging space where students can learn, grow, ask questions, and discover something powerful: “I can do this.” 💙

Because every word they learn is another step toward confidence, connection, and a brighter future. ✨

Community does not stop at our campus doors. Through our strategic events pillar, we are committed to meeting our neighborhoods right where they are. Whether it is bringing mobile food pantries directly to local apartment complexes, hosting lively block parties with our wonderful partners, or welcoming kids to campus for Super Saturdays filled with games and mentorship, everything we do is rooted in connection. Because the power of community means showing up, together.

When we come together, we can make a lasting impact in our city. 💙

We’re so grateful for generous partners like One More Child and Epic Cure who continue to come alongside us and invest in our community. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us serve families with greater impact!

As our founder Kim Bogart often reminds us,"kids cannot hear us if they are hungry." That simple truth is the heart behind our nutrition pillar. At Kim's Open Door, we know that true holistic programming starts at the dinner table. When our students sit down for a healthy meal, they are getting more than just food—they are getting the foundation they need to focus, learn, and thrive. This is why we prioritize nutrition, every single day.
