Our pregame gathering begins at 5:00pm & will take place at The Bullpen Kitchen & Tap located at 19 Jersey St and features a private entrance to the ballpark. The first round of drinks & appetizers are on us.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day and their legacy lives on in the hearts of a grateful people.

As we gather with family and friends, may we never forget those who never came home, and the Gold Star families who carry their memory forward.

Yesterday Emerald Society First Vice President PO Erin McCarthy & Trustee Sgt John Lynott presented Certificates of Appreciation to Jonathan Kovalsky and Cameron Eddings of Boy Scouts of America Troop 339 in recognition for carrying the Emerald Society banner during this year's Rockville Centre, NY Saint Patrick's Day Parade.

Jonathan is the son of longtime Emerald Society member PO Michael Kovalsky & Cameron is the son of former Emerald Society President Det Sgt Thomas Eddings. We thank you both for your dedication and support to our proud fraternal organization. ☘️

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The Memorial Service began in 1982 as a gathering in Senate Park of approximately 120 survivors and supporters of law enforcement. Decades later, the event, more commonly known as National Police Week, has grown to a series of events which attracts thousands of survivors and law enforcement officers to our Nation's Capital each year.

The National Peace Officers Memorial Service, which is sponsored by the Grand Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, is one in a series of events which includes the Candlelight Vigil, which is sponsored by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) seminars sponsored by Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and The NCLEES PIpe Band Memorial March sponsored by National Conference of Law Enforcement EmeraldSocieties. (NCLEES).

Please join the Port Authority Police Emerald Society as we cheer on the Port Authority Police FC this Saturday, May 9th at St. John's University as they compete in the JFK Airport Community Foundation Cup.

The ACF Cup is a 5v5 soccer tournament that brings together teams comprised of players from the JFK Airport community for a day of competitive play and camaraderie.

The Opening Ceremony will be kicked off by the PAPD's very own Honor Guard and Pipes & Drum Band, with the first round of the tournament immediately following.

We will have a table set up with our entire line of merch available. We look forward to seeing you there! ☘️
