Good Grief Camp Welcome to Good Grief Group and Camp
Offering quality bereavement services and events for those in Montana suffering from loss.

We are devoted to supporting individuals through the expression and healing of grief since 2014. Good Grief Camp is for children ages 6-12 years old who have lost a loved one. At camp the kids get to meet other kids who understand what they have gone through. Through out camp the kids have the opportunity to "get their feelings out" while memorializing their loved one through a variety of fun therapeutic actives.

Sometimes the most healing thing is knowing someone else understands. đź’™

That’s one of the most powerful parts of Good Grief Tween Camp.

Our campers come together carrying their own stories of loss, but they quickly discover something they have in common: they’re not the only ones.

They can talk about the person they miss.
They can share stories.
They can laugh without feeling guilty.
They can make friends who understand a part of their life that can be difficult to explain to others.

Healing happens through connection.

We can’t wait to welcome our Tween Campers TOMORROW October 16–18! 💙

Grief doesn’t have a timeline. 💙

For children and teens, grief can show up in ways that adults may not expect.

One day they may want to talk about the person who died. The next day they may want to play, laugh, or not talk about it at all.

That doesn’t mean they’ve stopped grieving.

Grief can come and go. It can change as children grow. And sometimes a child may not even have the words to explain what they’re feeling.

One of the most important things we can do is simply give them space, listen, and remind them that whatever they’re feeling is okay.

There is no right way to grieve. đź’™

A child should never have to feel alone in their grief. đź’™

When a child loses someone they love, their world can suddenly feel very different.

Friends may not know what to say. Adults may not always understand what they need. And sometimes, it can feel like no one else could possibly understand.

That’s why Good Grief Group exists.

We create spaces where grieving children can meet others who have experienced loss, build friendships, learn healthy ways to cope, and discover that they don’t have to walk through grief by themselves.

Thank you to everyone who helps make these connections possible — our volunteers, donors, community partners, and families.

Together, we’re helping grieving children know: You are not alone. 💙

Tween Camp is almost here! đź’™

October 16–18, we’ll be welcoming a group of amazing tweens for a weekend filled with connection, friendship, fun, and space to talk about grief.

For kids who have experienced the death of someone they love, finding other kids who get it can make such a difference.

At Good Grief Tween Camp, campers have the chance to:
• Connect with peers who understand
• Talk about their grief in a safe environment
• Learn healthy coping skills
• Make new friends
• Laugh, play, and just be kids

We’re so excited to see our campers and create another weekend where they can feel understood, supported, and not alone.

Two weeks until Tween Camp! đź’™

A little reminder for kids who are grieving: đź’™

You don’t have to feel sad all the time to miss someone you love.

It’s okay to laugh.
It’s okay to play.
It’s okay to have a good day.
It’s okay to feel happy and still miss the person who died.

Grief isn’t the same every day — and there is no “right” way to grieve.

Sometimes healing looks like talking about your person. Sometimes it looks like laughing with a friend. Sometimes it looks like having a day where you don’t think about grief at all.

All of those things are okay.

At Good Grief Group, we believe children deserve space for all of it. đź’™

Tween Camp is just FOUR weeks away!

There’s something pretty special about being surrounded by other kids who get it.

At Good Grief Tween Camp, campers have the opportunity to connect with peers who have also experienced the death of someone they love. They get to talk, laugh, create, play, and simply be themselves in a space where they don’t have to explain their grief.

Because grief can feel lonely — especially for kids.

Our goal is to remind every camper that they are not alone.

We’re getting everything ready and can’t wait to welcome our Tween Campers!

GRIEF TIP: You don't have to fix it. đź’™

When a child is grieving, it's natural to want to make things better. We want to take away their sadness, answer their questions, and help them feel okay.

But sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is simply be there.

Listen.
Let them talk about the person they lost.
Let them cry.
Let them laugh.
Let them ask the same question more than once.

You don't have to have the perfect words.

Your presence and connection can mean more than you realize. đź’™

Behind every moment at Good Grief Camp is a child who has experienced a loss. đź’™

Camp isn't about taking away someone's grief. It's about creating a place where kids don't have to face it alone.

It's about finding someone who understands.
It's about making a new friend.
It's about laughing again.
It's about having a safe place to talk, play, remember, and just be a kid.

Healing happens through connection. And that's at the heart of everything we do at Good Grief Group.

We are so grateful to everyone who makes these moments possible. đź’™

THANK YOU, FLATHEAD VALLEY!

The Great Fish Community Challenge has officially come to an end, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who showed up for Good Grief Group.

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, attended an event, cheered us on, or simply told someone about Good Grief Camp — THANK YOU!

Your support helps us continue providing free grief camps and resources for children who have experienced the loss of someone they love.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds as we continue growing and reaching more grieving children.

We are so lucky to be part of a community that believes grieving children deserve support, connection, and a place to heal.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us remind grieving kids that they are never alone. đź’™

With so much gratitude,
