One week from today, I will proudly represent Kennebunkport as I compete for the title of USOA Ms. Maine 2027.
My platform, Her Strength, Her Power, is about inspiring women to make their health a priority.
Our health influences how we live, how we lead, how we care for the people we love, and our ability to continue doing the things that matter to us.
At two years from 60, I am teaching, running my health and fitness business, competing in bodybuilding, serving my community, and have written my first book, "Rethink Everything You Know About Fitness Over Fifty".
Prioritizing my health gives me the strength and energy to keep doing the things I love and to continue saying yes to new opportunities.
I want more women to experience that same freedom. The freedom to feel strong in their bodies. To have the energy to participate fully in their lives. To remain active and independent as they get older. To know that a new goal, a new challenge, or even a completely new chapter in life is still possible.
My goal is to help create a shift in how women think about their health. Health should not become important only when a problem arises. Taking care of our bodies through movement, strength, nutrition, and healthy daily choices can influence how we feel today and how we are able to live in the years ahead.
The choices we make today can help us stay strong, active, independent, and able to continue doing the things we love.
