Walking Among Us: Bringing Awareness, Prevention, and Essential Services to the community.

What started off as honoring victims of domestic violence and cancer awareness. Turned into action & something bigger.
We brought resources, free health screenings, and other services together at one place for those who need it the most. We had over 100 people & families come to receive services with financial challenges, language barriers, health concerns and limited resources.

We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the healthcare professionals, community partners, vendors, volunteers, and families who made this possible.

A medida que nuestros padres y abuelos entran en nuevas etapas de la vida, sus círculos sociales pueden cambiar y es posible que pasen más tiempo en casa. Aunque parezca algo normal, la falta de conexión social y actividad puede afectar su bienestar emocional, físico y mental.

En Ser Familia, nuestro Programa de Adultos Mayores recibe a personas de 55 años en adelante para reunirse, crear amistades, mantenerse socialmente activas y disfrutar de actividades.
Desde conversaciones compartidas hasta juegos, talleres y actividades recreativas, creamos un espacio acogedor donde los adultos mayores pueden mantenerse conectados, activos y parte de una comunidad.

Si ha estado buscando maneras de ayudar a sus padres o abuelos a mantenerse activos, conocer nuevas personas y tener algo que esperar cada semana, este programa es para ellos.

Porque mantenerse conectado es tan importante como mantenerse saludable.
