🌱 Welcome to the Jefferson County Soil & Water Conservation District! 🌱

We’re excited to connect with our community through this page and share resources, updates, and opportunities that support soil and water conservation in Jefferson County, Tennessee.

The Jefferson County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is here to help landowners conserve soil, water, and other natural resources. We provide technical and financial assistance to help install agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPs) that improve both your land and our shared environment.

Our mission is to help farmers cost-effectively improve operations on their land while protecting the natural resources we all depend on. By working together, we aim to leave a positive legacy for future agriculturalists.

🔧 Some of the BMPs we assist with include:
• Access Roads
• Animal Trails/Walkways
• Cover Crops
• Cross Fencing
• Exclusion Fencing
• Heavy Use Areas
• Livestock Watering Facilities
• Livestock Pipelines
• Stream Crossings
• Streambank & Shoreline Protection
• Tree/Shrub Site Preparation
• …and many more!

If there’s something you’d like to do that’s not listed, don’t hesitate to call our office — We’re happy to help explore your options!

📞 Let’s work together to build a stronger, more sustainable Jefferson County. Follow us for conservation tips, funding announcements, project highlights, and upcoming events.
