K9 Hank Update
K9 Hank is recovering well so far! The attached picture is Hank on his way home from a check-up with his veterinarian.
We want to give a huge thank you to Dr. George Cline and Dr. Brittni Jones Moore at Parkway Animal Hospital in Sevierville. They performed emergency surgery on Hank Friday evening after he was shot. Because of their skill, expertise and caring, Hank made it through and is doing well!
We have had many people and organizations offer to bring and send treats and toys for Hank. While we certainly appreciate these gestures of caring, we ask that future donations for Hank instead be sent to the Sevier County Animal Care Center in Sevierville, 1040 Dolly Parton Parkway (sevieranimalcarecenter.com).
Thanks again for all of the get well wishes!

Yesterday evening, SPD K9 Hank, a Belgian Malinois, was shot while assisting officers attempting to make an arrest. Hank suffered a serious gunshot wound and underwent surgery at a local veterinary clinic. The surgery went well and Hank is now at home resting with his partner, Officer Jordan Paul.
Thanks so much to everyone for your concern and continued thoughts and prayers for a quick and full recovery.
Prayers for all involved, including our K9 buddy Hank.
