For more than 17 years, our Executive Director, Melina Politte, has been part of the Haven House family. And she didn’t start at the top—she started as an advocate, walking alongside survivors and seeing firsthand the impact that safety, support, and compassion can make.

Today, she continues to turn that experience into action every single day. From advocating for survivors to building community partnerships, raising awareness, and leading the Haven House team, Melina is committed to making sure awareness leads to real support and real change.

17+ years, countless survivors supported, and one mission that remains at the heart of it all: helping create a community where everyone can live free from abuse. 💜
