Last Friday, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Dick Webber, President of the Holloway Chapter of the Air & Space Forces Association, presented the TEC with the ANG Unit of the Year Award.

This prestigious award is open to all Air National Guard units across East Tennessee and recognizes outstanding achievements, mission success, and the collective accomplishments of the entire unit.

Congratulations to all TEC members whose dedication, professionalism, and commitment made this recognition possible!

The I.G. Brown Training and Education Center’s Lankford EPME Center welcomed Dr. Wendy Walsh, Chief Learning Officer for Air Education and Training Command , for a visit focused on the future of force development and learning innovation.

During her visit, Dr. Walsh met with students to discuss emerging trends in learning innovation and professional development.

The visit also included a showcase of TEC’s instructor development programs, competency-based education approaches, and the integration of emerging technologies designed to enhance student learning and mission readiness.

This visit highlights the TEC’s continued commitment to advancing professional military education and strengthening Total Force development.

MSgt Amy Threlkeld, the First Sergeant at the I.G. Brown Training and Education center recognized two outstanding performers, TSgt Christina Mikulcik and TSgt William Hauser who achieved 100% on their PFA Diagnostic while attending the Lankford Enlisted PME for NCOA.

She also recognized TSgt Garrett Fontaine who assisted several Airmen cross the finish line after he completed his own 2-mile run. His quiet encouragement sets the best example of a Wingman. All three of these Airmen are Diamond Sharp!💎

Students from NCOA class 26-D at the Lankford EPME Center recently participated in Commandant Time. These sessions are designed to challenge perspectives, refine leadership skills, and inspire the next generation of NCOs and Senior NCOs.

Strong leaders never stop learning — and these conversations are helping build the future of our force, one lesson at a time.

Mrs. Marcia Bailey from the Daughters of the American Revolution stopped by the TEC today and met with our 1st Sgt., MSgt. Amy Threlkeld, to share pictures colored by children of DAR members and commemorative key chains as a show of appreciation and support for our military and students. 🇺🇸💙

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
