A SPECIAL MOMENT AT THE LAKE VILLA LIBRARY!

This weekend, I had the honor of meeting a fellow veteran at the Lake Villa Library. We struck up a conversation, and he told me something that truly touched my heart.
He said, “AJ, I already voted for you! I heard you speak months ago about supporting veterans.”
Then he asked if he could have one of my AJ for State Representative T-shirts so he could wear it and encourage others to vote for me!
I was honored to give him a shirt, and we took this photo together.
As a 26-year Army veteran, moments like these mean more to me than words can express. This gentleman reminded me that people are listening, they remember what we stand for, and they want leaders who will stand up for our veterans.
Service doesn't end when the uniform comes off, and neither does my commitment to our veterans!
