Today the Lake County District Attorney's Office proudly wears purple in honor of Purple Thursday and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, in support of all victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Behind every statistic is a real person, a family, and a story that deserves to be heard. Domestic violence affects individuals and families in every community, and no one should ever have to live in fear, feel alone, or suffer in silence.

As a team, we stand united in our commitment to seeking justice, supporting survivors, holding offenders accountable and raising awareness about resources.

We wear purple for survivors, those whose lives were lost, and we stand with those who are still finding the courage to speak up.

We remain committed to building a safer community for everyone.
