π Lancaster County EMS in Action
We're proud to see our Lancaster County EMS team recognized by the South Carolina EMS Association for their support of the emergency response in Fairfield County.
When our neighbors need help, our EMS teams are ready to answer the call. We're grateful to the men and women of Lancaster County EMS who stepped up to support our neighboring community and to all of the agencies working together to provide care when it's needed most.
EMS agencies from across South Carolina continue to support the response in Fairfield County.
Yesterday morning, SCEMSA received a request from the Fairfield County EMS Director to assist with coordinating three ALS ambulances to support the response.
Lancaster County EMS initially provided medical and rehabilitation support through county-to-county mutual aid. Atrium Health Fort Mill EMS, First Priority Mobile Healthcare and Prisma Health EMS also provided resources to support operations.
Today, First Priority and Abbeville County EMS are continuing to provide support on scene, with additional equipment provided by Prisma Health EMS.
SCEMSA is proud to help coordinate resources when our EMS agencies need additional support. We are grateful to every agency, clinician and partner who has stepped up during this extended response.
This is what mutual aid is designed to do: bring resources together across jurisdictions when and where they are needed.
